It's hard to believe it's been six years when I remember you and Michael shooting the daylights out of eachother with airsoft guns like it was yesterday (I still say you won, by the way).
When Michael and I first moved into our apartment, the first thing we put on display was the picture with you white water rafting. It hangs now where the nursery, diagonal to where the crib will be. As your brother is saying, as we prepare for another addition into the family we can't help but wish you were here to greet with us. I firmly believe, however, that you were too good for this world, and GOD knew it and brought you home.
Though you're departure was premature, you will always be more than a memory for anyone that knew you. As for the ones that didn't get a chance to meet you, I think its everyone else's responsibility to educate the less fortunate.
No matter what, you'll always be a part of every day life. GOD doesn't let people like you leave without branding memories into hearts. Requisite in peace, Little Brother, and we shall all see you upon the morn.

A few weeks ago Braden and I went to visit the cemetery. We sat and talked for a few minutes about you and the things that he remembered from the last time he saw you. Although he was only 2 when you were taken from us the impression you made on him is amazing. I am sure that he will be telling the story of playing 'mad cow' with his cousin for years to come. In addition to the stories there are lessons that he and I both have learned from you that will be with us forever. I only wish the two of you could have had more time together because I think you would have enjoyed the boy he has become. Thanks Andrew.

Andrew,
You were surronded by lots of friends and family that loved you very much. It is hard to believe that you have left us 5 years ago. It just seems like yesterday. I will never forget the morning phone call of the news. I remember the day and where I was. And that is something that will be in my heart forever. God bless you and your family. I am lost for your words. I miss you. Use your wings wisely and protect us all.

Andrew, We're at college now. Like high school, its something we had to do without you. Its great here, but the fact we're growing up hurts because it feels like you got left behind. Thats not true though. Yes, your physical being is lost, but you're vivid personality, face, and inappropriate humor is something every single kid from Brass Castle has brought with them to college.
The memory and legacy of Andrew Sean Kries is strong, and in another 5 years when college is over, I'll still be carrying you with me.

Driving to Scouts every week
Lots of hikes at Merrill Creek
Parade and funnel cakes on the 4th of July
Shooting your rockets into the sky
Ice cream runs late at night
Out at 3 a.m. to see the medeorite
Working with Dad, learning every tool
Not too crazy about homework or school
"Ola, Mi Madre'" as you walk in the door
A few quick games of Connect Four
Playing tennis, rafting down the Delaware
"It's boring and -CENSOR- for Jay to cut my hair"
Pretty Pretty Princess, Pictionary, Catch Phrase
Skating in Central Park, seeing Broadway plays
Chin ups on the eye beam, sailing from the rope swing
Your first tux for Jay and Lyssa's wedding
Lazer tag and air soft guns
throwing discus and distance runs
On the computer till I had to yell
Hiding what you're looking at so I couldn't tell
Wooden boxes for all the treasures you'd keep
Too busy to take the time to sleep
Texting late, thinking I didn't know
Slinking round with Alex searching for the hobo.
Bowling with Mike and Megan, Robotics club with Jay
Singing Karaoke, joking the night away
Fishing with Patrick, hanging out with John, Movie dates with Sarah....
And suddenly you're gone
Your laugh, your stories, your beautiful face
Memories my heart will never erase
Miss you so much with each passing day
I wonder, do you feel the love I'm sending your way?
Five long years have passed since we lost you. You've become an Uncle, Mike got married. Life does go on. But oh how I miss you. my son. Some days I still can't believe it. Thinking of you and love you still. MOM

At graduation I felt as if there was a spot missing you were suppose to be there..You and Vinny drifted after elementary school, that made me sad...everytime I have ever attended an event or done something at the school or even pass your house i think of you..of your birthday party in the back yard there were so many kids and you were laughing and carrying on with all the boys squirting guns and running..that is the way i like to remember you full of life and joy.
